Welcome
The Melbourne Water Land Development Manual outlines the requirements of Developers when providing drainage infrastructure in new development.
The Manual is intended to provide Developers and their agents with information that will enable self assessment of most Melbourne Water standard requirements. It is not intended to replace the contact between a Developer and Melbourne Water which is necessary to gain an adequate understanding of project specific design parameters.
The Land Development Manual:
- Encourages Developers and their Consultants to seek innovative solutions
- Emphasises best practice for environmental management of stormwater
- Outlines Melbourne Water's role in land development
- Recognises the Development Industry as a key Melbourne Water stakeholder
The Land Development Manual website has recently been updated in January - April 2008.
