7.21 Media and File Naming Conventions
Any digital data forwarded by email, CD or DVD.
The naming convention to be used for the digital files supplied is as follows:
- first four characters is the drain number (i.e. 0306)
- fifth and sixth characters is Melbourne Water's stage number for the works (i.e. stage 5 for drain number 0306 is 030605**.***)
- seventh and eight characters are user definable (i.e. consultant to use as appropriate)
- extension are to be provided with the following format information:
MAPINFO - ******.TAB ******.DAT ******.MAP ******.ID
MID/MIF - ******.MID ******.MIF
Microstation - ******.DGN
DXF - ******.DXF
AutoCad - ******.DWG
